Hey does anyone have any pics of Dan's wedding they can post?

I've got tons of Gramma favorite memories.  Husker Du in the game closet, mints in the kitchen drawer, clothes drying on the line outside -

I thought they were rich because when I was little they let me push the button that opened the garage automatically.   Wow.

I love the "YELLO!" when she picks up the phone.

Grandma makes the only rolls that matter, in the world.  And there's always a half a grapefruit sitting on the counter.

When Wayne was a teenager he came up from downstairs with a Mad magazine and my mom freaked out.   I was so curious about Mad Magazine after that.

I still remember Eileen and Ross's wedding.

I remember Grandpa snoring and his jumpsuits.  He'd always take me to the movies.  Once he took me out back behind the house and told me to always remember how special I was and how much he loved me.

Grandma

When I see the picture of Grandma on this blog.. it make me smile cuz she is the cutest little Grandma around..

It reminds me of the all the things that make up Grandma.. from the way that she answers the phone with the "hello" that only she can do; her popcorn balls that she makes at Christmas, her homemade mustand pickles, rolls, cinnamon rolls, raspberry jam, and stew. The birthday cards that she sends out for your birthday and the great grandkids birthdays. The way that we all would stand next to her to see if she would notice that we were offically "taller" than her. Her good nature when getting completely drenched at the family reunions by her own "baby" son (Uncle Wayne). What other 85 year old grandma would participate in water fight??

And last but not least, her pillow in her car that she sits on so that she can see over the steering wheel. She is always on the go; doing things and seeing things. And she looked really cute last night as she was all dressed up for the wedding reception for Dan and Heather.

Feel free to add more "memories" to the list...

You gotta love fall!

I love fall. It is beautiful and fun. The tree that this little pile came from isn't a tenth done.

And School Starts

I can't believe that school is starting, and yet I'm really excited. My kids are ready. They have been bouncing off each other and need more.
We had the elementary school's "sneak-a-peek" tonight where we got to meet the teachers. Christopher is going into 4th grade and Alex into 1st grade. Alex wished that we had put him into all day kindergarten so 1st grade is just wonderful for him. Christopher is ready to get back, but that darn homework is such a bummer.

We had such a great time seeing cousins at the McEntire reunion. My kids talked about it forever. Since it's been such a long time since we were ALL together. Here's the sacrament meeting talk version about our family.
I (Megan) am Warren and Kandy's oldest. My husband Rich and I have been married for 11 years. We have 4 boys, Christopher, 9, Alex, almost 7, Dixon 4, and Brogan, 1 next week. We lived in Salt Lake until 2001 when we moved to Omaha, NE. In December of 2005 we moved to Olathe, Kansas. Olathe is a suburb of the Kansas City Area Metro. We really enjoy it out here. We do miss our family, but I'm so grateful for technology. It's such a great way to stay in touch.

Hope you are having a great, end of summer, day.
Thanks for putting this blog together, Amy

We spent a wonderful day at Zion National Park.
